All team members are interviewed, background checked and reference checked before accepting BL!SS gigs.
Parents may communicate directly with sitters once a booking request has been accepted. Our placement coordinator sends comprehensive booking emails that include sitter profiles, family profiles, booking confirmations, and payment details.
A sitter message board is available for team communication, booking coordination, and event updates. Accept jobs and work with BL!SS on your own schedule.

Yes! We have sitters nationwide and connect weekly with groups of teachers on social platforms who are trained and educated on the BL!SS mission. If you have specific needs in a city outside of Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Austin, San Jose, Charleston, Denver, or Phoenix, we can source a qualified sitter and make the connection with adequate notice.

Sitters engage children with educational age-appropriate games, crafts, reading, playtime, and routines (like meals, homework, and bedtime) based on your preferences and details listed in your form. NOTE: Formal tutoring will increase your sitters preferred hourly rate.

All our babysitters undergo thorough background checks, reference verification, and a virtual or in person interview. Many are certified in CPR/First Aid and have prior childcare and classroom experience.

Yes. We encourage meet-and-greet sessions (virtual or in-person) for families to get comfortable with their sitter before the first booking.

We understand that plans can change. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will forfeit the booking fee or booking credit from your package. Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice are eligible for a booking credit. Refunds for events are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Booking the same sitter for recurring date nights is considered a placement. For these arrangements, we can source a sitter outside of our network who is committed to your family for your specific day(s) and hours. Bookings under 10 hours can be arranged with a search fee and booking package. Bookings over 10 hours are considered part-time placements, while 25 hours or more are classified as full-time placements.
